As an employer, or a person in control of the premises, you are responsible for health and safety and need to take the right precautions to reduce the risks of exposure to legionella.

This starts by carrying out a risk assessment of the water systems to identify significant risks.

All risk assessments are carried out by our experienced, City and Guilds trained risk assessors to BS8580.

Systems covered; domestic water in commercial, industrial and residential settings, evaporative cooling systems, and all process water systems.

Do you already undertake Legionella monitoring of your domestic water systems and have a risk assessment in place?

Do you undertake regular reviews of these procedures to ensure that they are still effective, relevant and maintaining your domestic water system in clean and safe condition.

We carry out a full audit of your records and procedures and provide a report along with advice on your system performance and how to improve where required.

Do you operate an evaporative cooling system or process water system? How often are you currently reviewing the treatment program and monitoring records?

We will provide peace of mind as well as help you to comply with your duties as the responsible person or duty holder by completing regular documented audits of your water treatment procedures.

Do you have a closed heating or chilled water system within your building? These systems require ongoing maintenance to ensure that they maintain efficiency and operate free from corrosion which can lead to leaks and potentially costly repairs.

Do you have a robust management plan in place for maintaining them in good condition?

We will carry out a full review of your current control measures and provide ongoing reassurance testing and audit to ensure these critical and often overlooked systems are operating safely and effectively.

Newly installed or extended closed water systems require correct cleaning and pre-treatment to ensure that they operate safely and efficiently from install through to handover to the client’s team.

We provide inependent management and witnessing of the precommision cleaning process of closed water systems, from install through practical complation to final handover bringing our expert knowledge and experience to support project managers and fit out teams.

We offer onsite training and competency checks of your teams undertaking the critical checks and tests required to maintain your water systems.

We have off the shelf courses in Legionella awareness, domestic water monitoring and management, evaporative cooling system monitoring and management, and closed system management. We can also provide tailored courses to suit the requirements of your buildings and team.

All courses are delivered in person at your site or a suitable venue can be arranged for an additional cost. A short end of course test will be included.

All courses include a certificate of completion.

Training is only part of the journey to confirming competence. Staff skills and knowledge need to be reviewed regularly. We carry out competency checks for your staff on the tasks they are designated to carry out on your behalf. All completed forms can then be utilised as evidence when submitting a competency statement to prospective clients and professional organisations.
